We accompany and support the Canton of Zurich in the development of an equality plan. We are responsible for conducting an external survey of the current situation and needs in the Canton of Zurich.

Situation

The Canton of Zurich has been commissioned to develop an equality plan (incl. measures & equality strategy) that is compatible with the Zurich “Action Plan for Protection against Discrimination”, the “Action Plan against Racism” and the national Equality Strategy 2030 and its action plan.

Course of action

The mandate comprises four objectives: (1) Supporting the Gender Equality Unit and other key actors in the development of a gender equality plan (incl. measures & gender equality strategy) for the Canton of Zurich by the end of 2025. (2) Content and technical support in the development of the equality plan (incl. measures & equality strategy) for the Canton of Zurich, or in bringing together the basic work done (see above) & continuation of the internal administrative stocktaking in other directorates. (3) Implementation and evaluation of an “external inventory and needs assessment”, which should supplement the internal inventory and needs assessment in the directorates with an “external view of the Canton of Zurich”. (4) Support in the visualization and target group-specific design of the gender equality strategy.
