Annual Report 2023

Just over a year ago, we introduced our new strategy and defined our three strategic thematic fields, which address major social challenges. The partly tumultuous events of 2023 have confirmed that we are heading in the right direction.

Our strategic thematic field “Sustainable Development” tackled issues such as water scarcity and heatwaves in summer. “Humane Digital Transformation” already had its finger on the pulse of artificial intelligence before ChatGPT took the world by storm. And our third thematic field, “Caring Society”, addressed the supply bottlenecks in healthcare in a timely manner.

We are adapting to a changing environment, while also proactively helping to develop solutions and shape a responsible future. The Annual Report 2023 illustrates how we find answers to the questions of our time. It underlines our commitment to a sustainable, humane and socially responsible future in the Canton of Berne and beyond.

Our journey may have only just begun, but the first results are already speaking for themselves. We have reached this point together and can therefore all be proud of what we have achieved so far.
