Biography
- Prof. Stephan Haller is a professor of business information sciences at the Institute Public Sector Transformation at the Bern University of Applied Sciences since 2015. His research focuses on data-driven innovation in the public sector, particularly Smart City, Urban Digital Twins, Internet of Things (IoT), (Linked) Open Data and Data Spaces.
Stephan has more than 30 years of experience in international research and development in the software industry, in particular 25 years in IoT research and 15 years at SAP in Japan, Germany and Switzerland. Since 2004, he has been involved in the acquisition, management and administration of EU-funded research projects in the areas of IoT and Future Internet and has also acted as a project evaluator and reviewer on behalf of the European Commission.
