Multifactor authentication (MFA)
In order to access various IT services at the BFH, you have to identify yourself not only with your BFH username and password, but also with an additional factor. Usually, this additional factor is the Microsoft Authenticator app on your smartphone. If you do not have a smartphone or do not wish to install the app, you can also authenticate yourself by SMS.
Step 1: Registration
In a first step, you must register for multifactor authentication and store the additional factor you want. The corresponding instructions and the instruction video will help you to do this.
Step 2: Log on to MFA-protected services
At the BFH, all Microsoft 365 services as well as the VPN are protected by the additional factor. Please refer to the instructions on how to log in to the corresponding services using MFA:
