In contemporary times, Advanced Practitioners in health care are leading change across various healthcare settings. The summer school facilitates the development of strategies to promote APN through knowledge translation and focuses on evaluating outcomes of models of care, emphasizing the value-added role of APNs. Participants will actively contribute to the formulation of a sustainable model for APN, grounded in a person-centered culture and practice.

The summer school is for Advanced Practitioner in health care, AP students and health care management persons.

Learning Outcomes

The participants will: 

  • Reflect on personal leadership styles and understand the role of Advanced Practice Nurses in leading change
  • Develop strategies to promote Advanced Practice through knowledge translation
  • Learn about evaluation, outcomes of models of care and the value-added role of Advanced Practice Nurses
  • Engage in the development of a model of sustainability for Advanced Practice Nurses
  • Reflect about person-centred culture and practice and Lean Philosophy in Advanced clinical practice
