Situation
For many migrant families, access to antenatal classes or midwifery care during pregnancy is very difficult due to language, bureaucratic, but also organisational obstacles.
Course of action
During the 1-year project phase, ONEDU plans and produces the online birth preparation course "Migrant Birth Kit", which is designed in the form of a video-based app. The video material produced will be translated and dubbed into 16 different languages to make the course accessible to as many people as possible.
Result
During the project phase, the app will be produced and continuously evaluated through feedback from affected families, interpreters and experts. The long-term goal is to increase the health literacy of asylum-seeking and migrant families in Switzerland and improve their quality of life.
Looking ahead
After one year, the app should be ready to be marketed and launched. A joint publication by ONEDU and the BFH is planned.
