Situation
Marguerite Frey-Surbek and her husband Victor Surbek had a significant influence on Bernese art in the 20th century, and their oeuvre is present in public spaces and in renowned collections throughout Switzerland. In recent years, Frey-Surbek's oeuvre in particular has received increasing attention from art historical research - however, there is still no scholarly overview of Frey-Surbek's works; this project will close this gap.
