Situation
Physiotherapists practise a physically and mentally demanding profession. At the latest with the discussion of a tariff adjustment in 2023/2024, many questions arise about the framework conditions in the profession. As in many other professions, the shortage of skilled workers is also a problem in physiotherapy. To counteract the staff shortage in physiotherapy, the profession must become more attractive and measures must be taken to keep staff in the best possible mental health. In order to be able to take targeted measures, the points that lead to dissatisfaction or have a negative impact on mental health must be known. It is necessary to ask current physiotherapists about their mental health, what is important to them and what they need in order to be able and willing to carry out their profession competently for as long as possible.
