Profile + Organisation

The School of Agricultural, Forest and Food Sciences (HAFL) is one of eight schools at Bern University of Applied Sciences (BFH). BFH-HAFL constantly adapts its teaching, research, consulting, and continuing education programmes to meet the evolving economic and societal demands of agricultural, forest and food sciences.

HAFL has a distinct line organisation structure, comprising five divisions: Agriculture, Food Science & Management, Forest Science, Transdisciplinary Subjects, and MSc Programmes.
The office of Teaching and the office of Research, Consulting and Continuing Education coordinate activities across all divisions.

The school‘s interests are overseen by the director and managed by a board.
