SIPBB: inauguration of the new premises and laboratories
23.08.2021 Grand opening: Monday 23 August 2021 marked the opening of Switzerland Innovation Park Biel/Bienne SIPBB. The new BFH premises and laboratories were inaugurated on the same occasion. The cooperation between BFH and SIPBB is strengthened by the close connection of their premises.
The modern building is located in the near vicinity of the railway station in Biel and opposite the future BFH Biel/Bienne Campus. In addition to the office spaces, BFH is present with its battery test laboratory, the Hydrogene Systems Lab and the Prosumer Lab of the BFH Energy Storage Research Centre, and the clean room of the BFH Centre of Health Technologies. In autumn, a draw tower for optical glass fibres will follow. Various premises for students will open in 2022.
Switzerland Innovation Park Biel/Bienne is a private, non-profit Swiss organisation that carries out and supports industry-oriented and primary applied research and development.
