Situation
Dietetic occupational statistics on were last collected and published in 2017. The Bern University of Applied Sciences (BFH) will carry out the occupational statistics again in 2024, on behalf of the Swiss Association of Dietitians (SVDE). This survey will collect data on the education and professional development of dietitians, along with their current employment situation, and areas of professional specialization in daily practice. A general assessment of the attractiveness of the profession rounds off the project.
Course of action
The online survey is designed as a comprehensive census, with the aim of interviewing all dietitians registered in the National Register of Healthcare Professions (www.nareg.ch). The project is based on the questionnaire used in the 2017 occupational statistics survey. However, individual elements were deleted (e.g. the frequency of specific activities in hospitals or dietetic practices), while the questionnaire was supplemented with a topic block on the recruitment of specialist staff in the field of dietetics. The online survey runs from May 22 to July 7, 2024.
