The new and innovative master's program provides comprehensive knowledge in precision engineering, both in terms of scientific research skills and for professional qualification and application.

Ready for leadership and expert roles?

  • Engineering in space research, e.g. with the Space Research&Planetary Sciences Center
  • Laser physics with femtosecond and picosecond laser systems, among others
  • High-precision and highest throughput laser micromachining of ceramics, polymers and metals
  • Atmospheric sensors for earth and environmental sciences (e.g. with the Oeschger Center for Climate Change Research)
  • Thin films for microelectronic and medical applications, among others
  • Biomedical instruments and components of high precision and reliability

Admission

You are eligible with a bachelor’s degree in a field related to the program (minimum grade 5.0 or grade C on the ECTS scale).
With a grade of 4.5 or grade D on the ECTS scale, admission is possible after a successful interview.
