Situation
The program Femmes-Tables and Men-Tables is a low-threshold program of informal education, which offers discussion rounds on various topics in the areas of health, family, and integration for people in stressful life situations - especially for so-called vulnerable people in the migration or asylum and refugee sector. Through the peer approach, the program finds access to a large number of people who are often inaccessible or difficult to reach for other institutions and organizations or with formal educational offers. In 2019, 1740 women's rounds, 277 men's rounds, and 194 mixed-gender rounds were held. In total, nearly 13,000 people participated in the discussion rounds. The evaluation has the following goals: Assess the impact relevance of specific approaches and the effects of the program (summative evaluation); identify potential for optimization; develop recommendations for the further development of the program (formative evaluation).
Course of action
An impact model with questions guiding the research was developed for these goals and with a focus on three module topics. The project involves participants at three points in time, moderators, local staff and the administrative office.
