Biography
- Fernando Ortiz is a structural engineer with a broad professional experience in the design of structures. He studied in Spain, USA and Italy and worked between 2002 and 2016 in engineering offices in Germany, China and Switzerland. Concurrent to his professorship at the Bern University in the field of computer aided structural design and analysis he is lecturer at the Institute of Structural Engineering (IBK) of ETH Zürich. He regularly visits universities in China, India, Nepal and Spain on academic appointment.
